Phishing email : 53231

We have had a small number of reports of people receiving ‘phishing’ emails which appear to have been sent from an official University email address; webmaster@dundee.ac.uk. In reality, this is an unknown source trying to obtain your login and personal details. This is not a genuine request.

You should never disclose your University password details. ICS will never ask you for these details. 

If you receive this email please delete. If you have received this spam and already followed the link in the email, please reset your password immediately using the Password Management Portal or by contacting  our Service Desk.

Planned Repair work to stabilise RIS network – 25 November: 52867

Update 27th November

This work has now been completed  with full service resumed.

Update 26th November

Further work is required and will be carried out between 7 – 9 am on Tuesday, 27th November,  during the  Scheduled Maintenance Slot  For that period of time there will be no network services (PC, Wireless, and Telephony).

What is happening?

We are experiencing an intermittent fault on our network equipment located in 11 Perth Road; Research & Innovation Services. To rectify this issue, we plan to upgrade the software on the switches and reboot them on Sunday, 25th November at 8am.

Depending on the results of this, further work may be required on Tuesday morning during the “at-risk/maintenance” window. You will be notified if this is the case.

How will you be impacted?

The reboot of the switches will take approximately 10 minutes and during that period (Sunday) there will be no network services (PC, Wireless, and Telephony).

SITS Live Upgrade – Update – 21 Nov

Update 26/11/12

The SITS Live upgrade that took place over the weekend was successful. Both SITS and eVision were available from the early hours of this morning.

A planned upgrade of SITS Live is scheduled to take place from 5pm on Thursday 22nd until 8am Monday 26th November. During this period SITS Live, eVision and Online Applications will be unavailable.

C2C and –T Accounts Issue: 52556

An issue has arisen with –T accounts accessing Home directories which stops most applications on Connect2Campus working. This issue only affects the small number of people using C2C. To resolve this issue we have granted C2C access to the regular staff accounts of the small number of people who have authorisation to use C2C.

From now on you should only use your regular account to access C2C and not your –T account.

CODA: End of Year Process

Finance will be running the CODA end of year process Saturday, 17th November; therefore, the system will be unavailable most of that day. Finance has requested that users do not to login during this period. We have been advised that the service is expected to be available by Monday 19th November. Network repairs – Ninewells IT Suites

The work scheduled for today has been cancelled, however, we are continuing to monitor this service.
