We have scheduled essential upgrades on the network on Tuesday 8 April between 7.00 – 10.00 in Queen Mother Building, Fulton Building, Cross Row , Estates and Buildings, Dalhousie, ISE and the Micro Centre.
While this work is being carried out, network users will experience a temporary loss of connectivity to the network and telephony systems.
We will upgrade to newer and improved equipment and move and replace connections. This work will enhance connectivity to the network and telephony systems and improve resilience to the service.
If you have any questions or concerns about this work please contact Service Desk quoting reference Change 224.
We have responded to feedback from our teaching colleagues working in rooms where new Blu-ray players have been installed. There was a requirement for DVDs from different regions to be able to be played via the Blu-ray player. We have managed to find a technical solution to make this possible and have enabled this in the following rooms.
- All 20 Teaching Rooms in Dalhousie Block 2
- Dalhousie 1G15
- Dalhousie Lecture Theatres 1, 2, 3 & 4
- Carnelly Large & Small Lecture Theatres
- Tower Rooms G5, G6 & G8
If anyone has any queries relating to the above, please contact Service Desk and someone from the CLT Support Team will be happy to assist.
Microsoft have announced the release of Office for the iPad, an application that allows you to read Microsoft Office files on your iPad. Unfortunately our current Office 365 licence plan does not currently enable this feature.
We are committed to developing our Office 365 provision and are continually reviewing our provision to bring you new features and applications.
While Office for iPad will not be available to you immediately we are determining the costs necessary to provide it or an equivalent in future.
