Update: WordPress upgrade

The below upgrade has been completed successfully – many thanks for your patience.

The web development team will carry out an urgent WordPress upgrade at 12.30pm today to address a security vulnerability, which will be resolved by upgrading to the most current release of WordPress (v4.2.3). This should take a few minutes per WordPress site and users will see a maintenance message whilst it is unavailable.

After the upgrade is complete, normal service should be restored. If users experience any issues, please contact the IT Service Desk.

My Dundee Maintenance Update

UoD-IT and the Library and Learning Centre (LLC) have successfully completed the necessary elements of work that require downtime on My Dundee and its supporting infrastructure. My Dundee is now available ahead of schedule but users should consider the service ‘at risk’ as other work is still ongoing and final testing is being carried out.

My Dundee has not undergone any functional upgrades so users should not notice any changes to the interface. The maintenance downtime has allowed for behind the scenes supporting software updates, security patching and storage improvements to be carried out.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
