This issue has now been resolved – the Pay 2 Print cash machine is now taking notes and coins. If you have any problems with this machine in future, please contact the UOD-IT staff located at the main desk on the ground floor in Main Library.

We’re pleased to inform all users that this issue has been resolved and Form Builder is now functioning properly.
Users are currently unable to submit online forms within the University of Dundee Web Pages (this includes Estates & Buildings Requests, IT Pages etc).
Please Note: The data submitted is not lost, however it is not getting transferred on in the usual manner.
Our Web Team are looking into this issue and we will update this page just as soon as we know more.

We are getting reports of staff and students not seeing their Network Drives (Home / Shared Area’s). This is also making logging onto a desktop incredibly slow,

Several Schools have reported that their Shared Area’s/Home Areas are full and no data can be added. Our technical teams are working on this however in the short term could we ask users to save data in BOX.

We’ve been investigating Outlook 2013 performance issues on the Windows Staff Desktop and in line with this, changes will be made to client global settings on Friday 11th September 2015 to mitigate slowness and standardise our email service.
Does this concern me?
If you use Microsoft Outlook 2013 on the Windows Staff Desktop, have configured your email settings in a particular way AND/OR are connected to many shared mailboxes, you should read this email carefully. If not, you are very unlikely to be impacted by these changes.
As previously indicated, we’re experiencing issues with Box Edit on University computers and are working closely with Box to ensure that the feature integrates smoothly into our IT environment.
Box Edit removal:
Box Edit has been removed from all student and staff computers because no resolution was reached for the start of the academic year and error messaging continued to impact upon user experience.
Can I still use Box?
Yes, Box still offers great user functionality and we advocate its use University wide. We (UoD IT) continue to use Box as our primary tool for daily workflow because it makes many of our processes much simpler to manage and is secure.
How do I open/edit/save my files without using Box Edit?
You should use one of the following feature options to edit Office files in Box:

We’re pleased to announce on behalf of LLC colleagues, that the University’s new LLC website is set to launch on Thursday 3rd September.
The website landing page url (www.dundee.ac.uk/library) will remain the same, but all internal content has been reconfigured.
We advise that University Services and Schools review any content directing to the LLC site in line with this change.
