RESOLVED – Self-Service Printer Facility Down

This issue is now resolved, apologies for any inconvenience.


The self-service printer facility (for adding new printers to your computer) is currently down. If you try to access this on http://printers.dundee.uni you will get an error message and will not be able to proceed.

We are currently investigating and will update status as it develops.

RESOLVED – Password Self Service

This issue is now resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience.

The password self service on is currently down. We are investigating the cause and hope to have the service resumed as soon as possible.

If you require your password reset, please telephone or visit the Service Desk to have this done.

How will it affect me?
Expect to experience issues getting online if you’re working on campus, or connecting into the University network from outside.

Off campus
You may experience disruption when using online University facilities and services.

On campus
• Access to external internet services will be affected – e.g. Office 365 (email), Box, Facebook.
• Access to internal services will be unaffected – e.g. My Dundee and eVision.

So we can continue to roll out the University’s new, next-gen network.

Please be advised we have had a report of a Trojan Email being received from an oxford address. Please do not attempt to open this email, delete it immediately

Resolved: Quick Links – Students – Fees: Online Payment

We are currently experiencing issues with our student payment system. If you are a UoD student trying to make an online tuition or accommodation fee payment via the student fees page, please try again tomorrow.

We will notify you via this post when the issue has been resolved and hope to have the system up and running within 24 hours.

16.06.16: This issue has been resolved and the system is now accepting payments.

Issue with Firefox

We are aware that some users are experiencing a problem with Firefox (where it is crashing)  and we are monitoring and investigating  the issue.

For the moment we advise anyone experiencing  issues with Firefox to use Internet Explorer  as an alternative browser.

We will update this page as soon as we have further information regarding this issue.

Release of Examination Results – May/June 2016

With the second diet of examinations now well under way, plans are now being made for the publication of examination results.

Examination results are due to be published 8th June 2016, but due to the high demand our servers typically experience around this time, results will be released in a phased manner in accordance with server traffic.

To check if results are available in eVision for your particular School you should first check this page.

Wednesday 8th June

1) 10:00: Students in the Schools of Duncan of Jordanstone, Social Sciences and Nursing and Health Studies can now access their exam results via eVision.

2) 11:00: Students in the School of Dentistry (SDEN), School of Life Sciences (SLSC), Dundee University Access to Learning (PEXR) and Careers and Employability and Enterprise Hub and CASTLE (PSTU) can now access their exam results via eVision.

3) 15:00: Students in the Schools of Humanities, Science & Engineering and Education & Social Work can now access their exam results via eVision.

4) 16:00: Students in the School of Medicine can now access their exams results via eVision.
