A planned maintenance window has been agreed to allow the team to do work on the University’s wireless network. Changes will be made on Tue 07 Mar from 07:00-09:00 that will affect the following areas that have been migrated onto the new Wi-Fi network:
What impact will this have?
You may experience intermittent internet connection issues if attempting to use the Wi-Fi network (eduroam) at any of these locations during the work window as an “at risk” period has been put in place.
What are the benefits?
Once complete, your wired internet traffic will be passed through the new perimeter firewall, which means your online experience will have added security and quicker throughput.
Why are we doing this?
To progress the University’s Network Refresh project and bring forward the delivery of that full new network coverage.

The VPN service issue has now been resolved. When logging back in you might notice a new “Domain” field, this does not need to be filled in, just your username and password as usual.
Many thanks for your patience during this downtime.
Some users are currently unable to view some app launcher tiles within Outlook on the web. Affected tiles include One Drive and Office Online. This is an EU wide issue and Microsoft are currently working on a resolution. A temporary workaround will reinstate your tiles for the duration of your browsing session.
