My Dundee will be unavailable while we perform system maintenance from Wednesday 18 July – Wednesday 25 July inclusive.

Planned maintenance: External firewall

One of our external firewalls has developed a fault and requires a replacement part

WHEN IS THIS SCHEDULED?
 Installation is scheduled for Tuesday 19th June between 09:30 and 09.45.

WHAT IS THE IMPACT?
In the meantime our firewall continues to operate, with reduced resilience, and although service users should not experience any issues, access to internet services including email should be considered at increased risk.

Completed: SITS Upgrade 16-18 June 2012

The SITS Live upgrade has been completed. SITS Live, eVision and IPP are now available to users.

The SITS Live (Student Management System) upgrade is scheduled to take place on Saturday 16 – Monday 18 June 2012. This date was agreed after consultation with key stakeholders.

WHICH SERVICES WILL BE UNAVAILABLE?
SITS Live, eVision and IPP will be unavailable during this upgrade.

WHEN WILL SERVICES BE UNAVAILABLE?
From 8pm on Friday 15th June until 8am on Tuesday 19th June.

WHO WILL BE AFFECTED?
All staff and students who access the above services.

Network Configuration Work – 11-15 June – Planned Maintenance

Further work is required to complete the Network Configuration programme of work that was rolled out in March and April this year on City Campus.

WHEN IS THIS SCHEDULED?
This work will take place between Monday 11 June and Friday 15 June.Work will be carried out between 7.00 and 8.45 am to minimise disruption. The schedule follows:
Network Configuration Catch-up Work

WHAT IS THE IMPACT?
During this time users in these buildings may be unable to access the University network for a brief period and access to all ICS network services should be considered at risk while this work is carried out.

We encourage users to log off their PCs and shut down equipment at the end of every working day. However, if a networked PC or printer is disconnected during this time, then restarting it will restore network connectivity.

Update: Planned Maintenance-Kirkcaldy Campus Network Connection-Wednesday 2 May

This work was completed as planned and services were restored by 7.10 am.

On Wednesday 2 May at 7am the Kirkcaldy campus will be without network connectivity for a short period. During this period we will migrate the Kirkcaldy network link to an alternative route to enable our suppliers to carry out urgent repair work.
