We are changing our Help4U form slightly from 4.45pm on Wednesday 17 July. The form will now ask users whether the problem is with:
- a new password or password rest
- logging into dMail
All staff and students are encouraged to log IT calls with Help4U, our self-service portal. As well as being able to log incidents and service requests 24/7, you can now check the progress of your calls online.
Visit www.dundee.ac.uk/help4u , click on the link to self-service and login with your standard username and password.
Within the self-service portal you can also search our growing Knowledge Base for articles that will help you with common queries and known issues.
If you have any questions or feedback, please contact Service Desk and quote Incident number 44206.
Users will notice that the notifications that they receive from Service Desk will be different this morning. We have updated our notification emails to prepare for the rollout of our self-service portal, which be tried out by Local Analysts and Local Support Contacts very soon.
If you have any feedback, questions or concerns please contact Service Desk quoting reference 44742.
The popularity of the ICS Status page has seen it evolve into a key resource for communicating with our users about ongoing service issues and planned maintenance. The page has been given a well-deserved revamp and is now powered by WordPress.
To keep your finger on the pulse, add this page to your RSS feeds or follow us on Twitter @UoD_IT. All new posts on this page will be tweeted automatically.
Our Service Desk team can now keep you informed about our service status via this page 7 days a week. (During Main Library Service Desk hours)
All requests for assistance should continue to be directed to ICS Service Desk so they can be logged and tracked. As with all ICS service developments, we would welcome feedback on the new Status page and Twitter feed via the Service Desk.
