Issues accessing My Dundee – No: 76803

My Dundee has now been tested and brought back up online. Users can now login.

We understand that My Dundee is an essential tool for learning and teaching at the University of Dundee and we appreciate the seriousness of downtime and how it affects our staff and students. In order to resolve the issues we were experiencing we had to fully restore components of the infrastructure that supports My Dundee – unfortunately this required some downtime but we wanted to resolve the problems quickly. We do not take a decision to remove access to vital systems lightly.

The work to restore My Dundee was done by a group of colleagues from across the University, working through the night, to which we extend our thanks.

We will continue to closely monitor the performance of My Dundee as users begin working again. In the longer term we will be examining our current infrastructure and how we can improve its performance and resilience.

UoD IT staff meeting 27th September – 10am-12 noon – requests for support

On Friday 27th September, between 10am-12 noon, UoD IT staff will be attending a department monthly meeting.

You can still log calls during this period by:

  • Sending an email to
  • Submit a Help4U Online Enquiry Form
  • Logging on to Help4U Self-Service Portal and completing the online form – you can also check the progress of any existing calls
  • Phone x88000, leaving a voicemail, and we will get back to you

In the event of an emergency, involving major disruption to a service or assistance required for teaching in learning and teaching areas, please phone 07815 562102.  This number will only be available during this time.

Issues using My Dundee – pages loading slowly

We are currently working to improve the slow performance issues being experienced on My Dundee. This work means that the service will suffer from disruption between 22:00 and 23:00 this evening, 26 September. If, as a result of the work, you are logged out of My Dundee during this time, you may be able to reconnect by accessing My Dundee and logging in again. Please bear with us as we undertake this important work.
