My Dundee has now been tested and brought back up online. Users can now login.
We understand that My Dundee is an essential tool for learning and teaching at the University of Dundee and we appreciate the seriousness of downtime and how it affects our staff and students. In order to resolve the issues we were experiencing we had to fully restore components of the infrastructure that supports My Dundee – unfortunately this required some downtime but we wanted to resolve the problems quickly. We do not take a decision to remove access to vital systems lightly.
The work to restore My Dundee was done by a group of colleagues from across the University, working through the night, to which we extend our thanks.
We will continue to closely monitor the performance of My Dundee as users begin working again. In the longer term we will be examining our current infrastructure and how we can improve its performance and resilience.
