IP Phones – Incorrect Time Displayed

We are receiving a lot of calls to tell us that the time displayed on the University IP phones is incorrect – we would appear to have moved back an hour in time…

A call has been logged with our telephony provider to resolve this.


Update | 25 October 2016

After liaising with our telephony provider the decision has been made not to change the time on the IP telephones before the clocks go back this weekend.

The change to fix the time would cause two telephony outages and users would lose their call logs and any unsaved voicemail messages as a result of the change.

This has been deemed an unnecessary change given the short timescales involved.

Issues with Activating Applicant IT Accounts

This issue has now  been resolved by the UoD IT team   – thanks for your patience.

We are aware that there is an issue with students (applicants) who are experiencing difficulties when trying to activate their University of Dundee IT accounts for the first time – this has been raised with our technical support team and is being investigated.

We apologise for any inconvenience and will provide updates  just as soon as they are available

Box Cloud Storage Unavailable

Update – Box status has been restored …

Box (cloud file storage system)  is currently unavailable. This is a third party service  provided by the company Box ( who are currently experiencing problems with their system).

Box are trying to remedy the issue – we will update this page as soon as the Box Service is restored.
