Upgrade your Adobe CC 2017 apps

Adobe has informed us we’re no longer licensed to use certain older versions of Adobe CC products. This means you may need to take action on your One Dundee Desktop to ensure compliance.

Which products can’t you use?

The entire Adobe CC (2017 and earlier) suite, excluding InDesign, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver CC (2017). You can continue using these three apps or upgrade them to the latest versions (best option).

What do I need to do?

Managed macOS

First remove the non-compliant apps. Uninstallers are available in Self Service for each 2017 app and bundle in the ‘Adobe CC’ category. Then install the compliant 2018 versions from Self Service.

Windows 7 or 10

First remove the non-compliant apps. Go to the Start menu and search for Programs and Features Manager to reach the window in which you uninstall apps. Then install the compliant 2018 versions from Software Centre (use search bar on Windows 10 to find).

During the maintenance window, Questionmark OnDemand users may experience service disruptions.

The purpose of this maintenance is to deploy system updates to ensure the ongoing reliability, security and up-time of the platform.

Service Disruption: Life Sciences Password Reset Prompts

Uod IT are aware that colleagues in Life Sciences are receiving emails requesting that they change their Life Sciences password.  The majority of these emails reference dates in the past – these emails do not require any action from you.

Our engineers are looking into a resolution and any updates to this issue will be communicated via this status.

Service Degradation: On-Site Systems

UoD IT have resolved an issue with our storage systems that caused significant performance issues across systems hosted on-site.

This affected internal services such as SITS, P3, Timetabling and Cognos. Users should experience normal performance now.
