Service Disruption: SITS


Users have reported experiencing issues when trying to launch SITS.

We are investigating as a matter of urgency and appreciate your patience whilst we look to resolve the problem.

Scheduled Maintenance: On-Site Services

Earlier this week you may have been impacted by problems with our storage systems. We have been carrying out work to improve and restore the full performance of the system and we will continue this work throughout this weekend and into the early part of next week.

The work itself carries a small risk and there is therefore the potential it may impact users of our systems over the weekend. UoDIT staff are monitoring the activity and if we become aware of any issues  we will post further updates here.

Resolved: Disruption to On-Site Services

We have resolved an issue from earlier today that resulted in performance issues and unavailability of on-site services.

This impacted services such as SITS, eVision and P3. AppsAnywhere and student printing service were both unavailable during the incident.

We have restored normal service and are investigating further to avoid this reoccurring in future. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Service Degradation: On-Site Systems

UoD IT have resolved an issue with our storage systems that caused significant performance issues across systems hosted on-site.

This affected internal services such as SITS, P3, Timetabling and Cognos. Users should experience normal performance now.

Service unavailable: SITS

Several users are reporting that they are unable to log into SITS again this morning, Tuesday 16th July.

We have a workaround in place that should allow users to log in now, please try again if you have been experiencing issues.

UoD IT are tracking the issue in call reference 1907-2813, and we will update this post with further updates.

Resolved: Access to SITS

We are currently investigating an issue with SITS where some users are unable to log in to the system.

We are recording this incident with reference number 1905-1054 and will update this post with progress.

SITS – Login Issues

Users are currently experiencing slower than expected login times when trying to access SITS at the beginning of the working day. IT have put together a Problem Team to investigate this issue and in the meantime we are working on a solution to minimise the disruption this is causing. You can still continue to report instances of slow log in times to us via quoting reference number 1901-7381
